Artwork > Phone It In Ode to the Camera Phone

My camera phone offers a counterpoint to the technical sophistication of my digital and film cameras. Stripped of control over shutter speed, aperture, color balance (and, for my large format camera swing, tilt and shift) my camera phone brokers a physical immediacy to crafting line, form, color, shape and space into meaningful and moving images. I enjoy exploring the limitations of the camera phone as well as its spontaneity, and I make parallel banks of images for projects that welcome comparative divergence such as Home Grown.
